About

I’m an educator, a wife, a mother, a grandmother and now a writer.

I grew up with childhood trauma, and then I wrote a book about it.

I am a cycle breaker.

I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in special education from Arizona State University and a master’s degree in counseling from Northern Arizona University.

I attended nineteen different schools by the time I was a freshman in high school, and I’ve lived in seven states, a few houses, a bunch of trailers, several motels, and the back seat of a couple of cars and a van.

For the past twenty-seven years, the beautiful Pacific Northwest has been my home.

I live with my husband, Captain Crusty, my son Zach, and our lovable dachshund, Oscar. My youngest son, Tyler, his wife, Stephany, and my two grandsons live nearby.

When I’m not writing, I’m working in my herb garden – remembering all the things Grandma taught me.

Welcome to my space.
